Recovering

Esther had a fantastic day today. "She's doing much better than she's supposed to" were the words of the surgeon. She sat up in the chair for two hours and ate popsicles non-stop. She's even starting to toot...that's a big answer to prayer because it means her gut is waking up already!

The fall colors are beginning to stand out amongst the sea of green leaves from our hospital room. As much as I would love to get out of here early, I want to see the brilliance of fall from our hospital room. I am thankful for the views, even if the windows aren't perfectly clean!

Thank you for praying, we are incredibly blessed and thrilled to see God's kind "yes" to an easy surgery and a gut that only hit the snooze button. He is faithful, so faithful.

  1. Praise the Lord! It is so nice to have something go better than expected, especially something as big as an invasive surgery. We are so thankful and relieved. A little respite from the storm. Drink it in....

You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.
